Derry Walls Day

Sunday August 30th 2015

Guildhall Square and City Walls from 12.30pm – 5.30pm

Derry Walls Day creates unique cultural and heritage insights into the building of the City Walls. With Living History Performers, the Plotter’s Treasure Hunt and costumes on display, the experience will tell the many stories of the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the Great Northern Plot in 1615 that accelerated the building of the city walls.

A full timetable of activity will be published on www.walls400.com/derrywalls, so make a date with history for Derry Walls Day on Sunday 30th August, 2015.

This cultural and heritage programme is funded by Derry City and Strabane District Council, The Heritage Council of Ireland, supported by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency and the Friends of the Derry Walls
